Dr. Akshay Kumar Dave is in the field of “Environment and related issues” for more than 30 years by now. He has obtained a doctorate degree in Environmental Sciences and worked with GPCB in the initial 14 years of his career. He acquired rich experience of implementing various acts/rules/policies of Government pertaining to Environmental Pollution Control. He has monitored and surveyed many Effluent Treatment Plants (ETPs) and air pollution control systems, hazardous waste disposal sites of different industries. After GPCB, he joined a government of India linked R&D institute, ATIRA. During the tenure at ATIRA, he occupied various senior positions including Principle Scientific Officer, Project coordinator, Project Manager and Technical Manager. He is a quite known personality amongst senior officials of Department of Environment and Forest (DoEF), Gujarat Pollution Control Board (GPCB) and Gujarat Cleaner Production Center (GCPC). In past, he has also dealt with National Productivity Council (NPC) and National Cleaner Production Center (NCPC). He had also worked for many international organizations including USAID, US-AEP, CSIRO-Australia, Royal Netherland Embassy, and IIE-Washington (USA). Mr. M. G. Shaikh has a long career of 30 years in the oil and gas sector. Gas engineering and consultancy is his area of expertise. He has gained a tremendous experience in gas network design and hydraulics. His wide span of activities includes design, detailed engineering and construction of metering and receiving stations, steel and polyethylene pipe networking for combined distribution of piped natural gas to domestic, commercial and industrial consumers in city. Also, inter-fuel conversions of boilers, furnaces and heaters, combined heat and power generation and gas fired air conditioning are also in his list of activities.
He has worked with Gujarat Gas Company from 1989 to 2002 when they established City Gas Distribution network in Surat, Ankleshwar and Bharuch cities of Gujarat. Since 2002, he has provided engineering consultancy services to various upcoming Gas Distribution Companies for establishing and operating Local Gas Distribution networks for combined distribution of Natural gas to Domestic, Commercial, Industrial and CNG consumers. He is also instrumental in preparation of procedures and guidelines for network installation and O & M and preparation of training manuals and safety manuals for Gas network installers. He owns the credit for preparation of Detailed Feasibility Reports for 15 cities in first three rounds for M/s. IOCL, HPCL, BPCL and CAIRN for submission to PNGRB.
He has visited various national and international city gas distribution companies. He has participated in 19th world gas conference for presentation of paper on experiences of city gas distribution in India.
He has a vast experience of 24 years in the field of thermal energy and thermal energy conservation. He has co-authored a number of research and technical papers on thermal energy conservation. He has also been acknowledged as consultant in selection and use of boiler plants, thermic fluid heaters, team/heat generation, distribution and utilization. His experience in the field of energy has enabled him to understand closely about different fuel, their combustion and respective combustion efficiencies. Ms. Sonia Kapoor pursued her Masters in Transportation Planning from School of planning and architecture. She has over twelve years of experience in Transport Consulting, Modelling and software programming experience across various areas of transportation planning and Computer Management. In past she worked as a technical expert to Urban Transport, Ministry of Urban Development (MoUD), and Government of India for appraisal of BRTS, CMPs and Bus funding 19 Scheme under JNNURM. She is a certified trainer of GIZ-SUTP under SUMA for imparting training on MRTS. She worked on various project development studies like service level benchmark, feasibility studies, detailed project report and transport modelling of BRTS, CMP etc. Some of the important project in transport modelling are Feasibility study of High Capacity Mass Transport System for Pune Metropolitan Area: Involved with preparation of four stage modelling and subsequently on network assignment to identify priority corridors of Pune using TRANSCAD. CMP, Shillong, Meghalaya, India: Involved with four stage modelling using VISUM & VISSIM software and identification of transportation improvement options.

Mr. Bharat J. Mehta has a vast experience of over 20 years in the field of wind power. He specializes in total project consultancy from concept to commissioning for wind farm development. His activities in the field of wind power include wind mast data analysis, wind resource assessment, equipment selection and integration, and erection of electrical yard. In past he worked, as a technical expert for DOEs for wind energy projects and in PLF determination for wind parks/ WTGs, for CDM under UNFCCC Guidelines; and imparted technical training to validators and verifiers of renowned international DOE for CDM Certification for wind energy projects. He has also worked in detailed market surveys and techno-economic feasibility studies for wind energy projects and integrated wind farms, and power transformers. He is responsible for planning, setting up, execution and evaluation of over 500 MW capacity Wind Farm Projects in Gujarat and other states in India.
